Identified only as "Sylvain," he said the incident took place two years ago. He tried to explain away the dangers of the situation, saying the road was deserted and that the car never got above 40 km/h. However, none of the family of five was wearing a seatbelt. A woman in the back seat is seen holding a child on her lap.

I call Moron on this one.

You want to know what I did at that kids' age?

When my dad said I could steer the car from the mailbox down the road to home (about a 10 second drive normally) as soon as the car started moving I yelled "YEAH DUKES O HAZZARD!!!" and made a sharp right turn into the ditch.

While sitting in his lap of course, as was the thing to do back in the early 80's.

I seen the video and it looked like he was driving on the 50kmh mark when the camera showed the spedometer.

Besides all of the family in the car with no seatbelts on, this was a hell of a lot more stupid then what my dad did with me, as at least we didn't even get up to 15kmh before I ditched it.

And the list of videos they describe in this report clearly shows that for all the wonderful intelligence humans have to offer, there's always the balancing of absolute stupidity in the world.

How about the latest? Poaching Ducks - and not even having the decency to eat them.

I think we all drove when we were around 9 or so. I didn't, we didn't have a car!
My kids do... On their dad's lap, on a dirtroad, or a parkinglot. Or they can handle the stick in town...

This (in this video) was just a very stupid thing to do, and as for the not wearing a seatbelt... Oh well, if he had gone in the ditch at "40 kms/hr", they would never do it again... ;-)

Well for the record, in my situation I was 4... I don't know this kids age off hand. He looked about the same age.

These deeds should be punnished, I can only imagine the workload that goes into looking for idiots that not only break the law but post it online when they do.

lol, probably no work at all.... just search YouTube for "illegal activity" or perhaps "Morons doing Stupid Things" and you'd probably have a whole week's worth of stuff to go by

From what I know the authorities don't activley prowl sites like you tube looking for ilegal behavior, what I meant was man hours spent following up on reports sent to them by users, they have to find out who posted it via an IP and lay charges accordingly.
Granted it's not hard to find videos of idiots braking the law on you tube
