Animal rights activists say an elephant at Edmonton's Valley Zoo is showing signs of depression and severe arthritis and it's time to move her to a sanctuary.

    I�m not a fan of PETA, but they�re probably right in this case. The only question is will they blow up city call to get their way.

    They should shoot the elephant in the neck. Who cares about elephants anyway ? They are big and ugly. The only things worthy is their horns.

    If they could be a little more scientifically accurate instead of being overly dramatic and provocative over an animal, it would help.

    Well, while I'm all for the elephant here, I do wonder if maybe their time and effort could be best spent on things that REALLY matter. Like preventing the abuse of children and the elderly to name just two.

    I bet PETA, in actuality, wants to euthanize the elephant. They already "euthanized" thousands of healthy dogs and cats.

    Hey man, somebodys gotta stick up for abused animals. There are plenty of people out there for children and elderly already.
