I think the part where the one guy said kids were swimming in the ocean really sets the tone. Kids don't willingly jump into cold water. Artic isn't supposed to be anything but cold.

As a child I swam in the Elbow River 10 km below the Glacier, 2nd week of May.
Doesn't mean it was warm, it was a relief because it was 30 degrees outside. Something you'll never see in May ever again.

Isn�t it amazing how most people can�t (or won�t) stop long enough to think through the issue.

1) Is the climate warming? That seems to be a near certainty.

2) Is it caused by us? Damned if I know. That�s a valid debate that no one can answer right now.

3) Will we as a species adapt to the changes? Damn good question.

Anyone else capable of separating the two and toss the political, partisan claptrap out the window and address the topic?

Every one of these topics (much like the political topics) quickly degrade into another form of shitfest without conclusion (unless the Mods have the good sense to shut �em down). Recognizing global warming as a reality does not mean you have to wear a David Suzuki or Al Gore t-shirt. There�s more than enough evidence to show the trend as a reality whether it�s manmade, a cyclical normality, or Mother Gaya out to clear us off the planet.
