The 1000 Islands Music Festival was baited with enough star power to attract the biggest crowd this summer. Unfortunately, partygoers didn't bite.

Maybe it's because gangsta rap and hip-hop are now passe?

"(We've) created an event that over the three days spans the age demographics from 12 to 65 years old and has crossed every genre."

I somehow doubt any 65 year old know who any of the acts there were. They wanted to stay away from mainstream bands in favor of smaller local bands, so what did they expect. If it wasn't for Snoop Dog I doubt half the people who showed up would have showed up.

Never heard of the festival until now, even with that line up. I still wouldn't go.

No metal or punk = fail.
