KANDAHAR, Afghanistan - The commander of Canadian Forces in Kandahar says he hopes Afghanistan's election ushers in a changed political atmosphere in the war-torn country.

    The Afghans have reelected a corrupt governmnet kept only in power by foreign troops. What? Now the Taliban are now going to lay down their arms and promote women's rights?
