This story doesn't give us any new info but has a much more suggestive headline.

I don't think it's "false" information, but there is probably some effort from Bryan'ts camp to get the facts -at least his version of them- out there to the media.

Bryant called his lawyer within minutes of his arrest and has also hired the public relations firm Navigator Limited, known for representing high-profile clients.

I'm suggesting the bicycle types should probably hire a PR firm ..

Well he has a right to a lawyer so I won't fault him for that, and as he is a public figure the fact that he called in the services of a PR firm isn't surprising either.

I agree, except that it skews the playing field. It wouldn't be so bad if the victim's family could afford a PR firm to step up and counteract the spin Bryant's PR firm has started to put out.

As long as the information (or spin as you call it) Bryant and his representatives is releasing to the media is verifiable as fact, I do not see the problem.

From what I hear there is video evidence and a few eyewitnesses.

One of the eyewitnesses has said he saw the car racing on Bloor (wasn't it Bryant who pushed for tougher safety laws??) and he also said it looked like the car was going 90.

The PR firm isn't going to put out any facts that cast the dead victim in anything but a negative light. It's the usual trash-the-victim spin that we see in courtrooms all the time, only this time the trial hasn't even started. :x

Sigh. Just for a change a police investigation first, and then a trial if required, would be quite refreshing and unbelievably preferable to the usual class-warfare internet lynch mob forming.

Bryant reportedly also did not have complete control of the vehicle due to the other party hanging off him and/or the steering wheel.

And why would anyone expect Bryant's PR firm to work for the other guy? That isn't why he hired them.

Another witness said that the victim was hanging onto the car "for dear life", that the tires of the car "squealed" which would indicate rapid acceleration. He also said the initial altercation was because Bryant had hit the victim's bike.

I never said Bryant's PR firm works for or should be expected to work for the victim. What I said was it would be fairer if the victim's family could afford to hire a PR firm of it's own, to level the field.
