Wonder if the government will do anything to allay these fears?

I wouldn't worry cause if it does happen we probably won't be alive long enough to see much. PDT_Armataz_01_40

Anybody who doesn't fear a third World war is a fool or an idiot or Al Quada(might covered under fools and idiots).

Define "fear" I would rather it happen sooner rather than later, at lest if it happened now the West could win. Even if a lot of people would die.

This week, ceremonies were held in Europe to mark the 70th anniversary of the start of the Second World War, which began Sept. 1, 1939, with the German invasion of Poland. Jedwab said some Canadians see simmering unresolved tensions from that conflict or are worried about strife among superpowers. Others are influenced by images of violence in current conflicts.

Simmering unresolved tensions from that conflict? What tensions? It will be conflict of culture/religion that will start the war and it will be fought in Europe again because the EU is making the mistake of backing one culture/religion into a corner. When the fight starts all the world is going to get mixed up in it and it will get nasty fast.

WW3 will probably look a lot like the Iraq & Afghanistan wars except we'll have to substitute some SW Asian place names for some European and North American place names.

Yea, allay fears by acting like a responsible government and enacting measues to protect the people, rather than the spineless types we have up there right now who do nothing but talk.

Talk and inaction caused WWII, and some 60 million people + died.
