Is this supposed to be news?

The real news will be what the Iraelis are going to do.

Hah. "can". Not quite so obvious.
The headline reads the same as if the UN is giving permission.
Only the story reveals that Iran has the ability.

Tell the truth: How many of you thought the UN was saying it's alright for Iran to build a bomb?

The UN has been, by default, saying it all along.

That headline reminds of when Mel Lastman was mayor of Toronto. During a public sector strike, Lastman said that for "every week the paramedics were on strike, 4 people in Toronto would die", like HE was making the threat

Iran has the ability to make The Bomb. The question is, how long will Israel take to end that ability?

Israel has one of the best intelligence in the world. I'm pretty sure they know exactly what's going on in Iran. I'm also sure the plan to attack is already prepared. It is a question of "when". The "when" will depend of the international response to the threat and what Iran is doing. At any sign of a bomb making, they will strike.

    Ahh another asshat comment.

Why would the headline be misleading? Who stands to benefit from such information?

When Marshall Mcluhan said: "The media is the message" he suggested that whoever controls the media controls the message.

He never said that and that isn't even remotely close to what he was suggesting. He said, "The Medium is the message".

"The is the message". What that statement means is if you take something true and spray paint it on a wall it will not be given the same credence as the same 'truth' announced on television or in the printed media. Why? Because of it's "medium" - in this case being written on a wall as opposed to seeming more 'official' by being presented on TV.

This is typically what happens when someone regurgitates little 'sound bites' of a 'little knowledge' instead of actually doing something drastic like reading a book.

    Talk about 'asshat' comments.

I hope they're not relying on American or British intelligence.

The bomb isnt the problem, they have the material, and know how to
start the reaction; had it for a couple of years now.

Putting it in a missile is the problem... for now.
