fixed link, the title is missleading, I was shocked when I saw it. But when you read the article its not the case.
"The headgear will be mandatory for all children and teens enrolled in ski and snowboard programs and for any student"
I can't really see them making it manditory for anyone on the mountain... I've never worn a helmet, but I did buy one at the end of last season finally. Mostly because I ski in off-run treed areas and steep cliffy areas.

Same, the only time I've worn a helmet is in the Park, and that's cause it was mandatory.
"Brenda" said Its mandatory for kids in classes here on Red Mountain too. Nothing wrong with that. When ever we ski privatly though, they don't wear helmets.

I used to never wear them because I find them damn uncomfortable, but then the one time I was under a mandatory usage policy (school trip) I went for a major tumble and actually hit a hard patch of who-knows-what which cracked the shell into 3 different pieces. Worn one ever since.
