Remembrance Day is a day to commemorate the sacrifices of members of the armed forces and of civilians in times of war.

Reserve Forces Day is a tribute to Reservists for their military and humanitarian efforts.

    Two different things

Remembrance Day is to thank all those who are in the armed forces, not just the ones who have died.

Doesn't seem to be the message all the remembrance day ceremony I go to. The main message is always about honoring the dead. Not about thanking the ones who are serving now.

    From the Royal Canadian Legion:

"Remembrance Day", a sacred trust of The Royal Canadian Legion, ensures the memory of the sacrifice of those who fell with the appropriate marking of the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month
