Glencross has been given a three-game suspension. Drury was pulled less than one minute into the first period of Saturday's 3-1 Flames victory over the Rangers at the Saddledome, after Glencross clipped Drury with a shoulder to the head.
(although it looked like Drury wasn't even close to the puck - still, that should be interference and that's it). Is there a video with a closer view by any chance?
Drury got nailed by Neil a couple of years ago - he was blindsided as well, but it was much much worse IMO.
There is a rule (although rarely used) for a 5-minute major for interference. That would be the appropriate call here. All penalties involving injury are supposed to be majors and should result in a suspension of some sort. It wasn't horribly nasty, but penalyzing this type of a hit is a good idea. It sends a message that you can't hit vulnerable players.

Ive seen harder "hits" by novice players on a girls team in a handicapped league. I mean really
Only because you were playing in that league.
