France backing off burka ban

One again France demonstrated the art of Surrender.

Hehe, no France anymore.

I called it! I knew this wouldnt last long.

I don't think this is the last we will hear of it. Nationalism is on the rise in Europe, France included

Oh no they will bitch and grumble about it, but they will never inact a law banning the burka.

That's too bad honestly. The burka is a symbol of oppression of women in the name of religion. It stands against the democratic right of freedom that we hold that women are equal to men.

But still I suppose if we are to allow neo nazis to parade in our streets we should be tolerant of the abuse and control of women. After all what do we have to lose?

Well, I mean, if a woman actually to wear the damn thing, the State shouldn't be allowed to forbid her from it. It's nobody else's business.

That said, I wish it were my business because I admit being totally freaked out by burka-wearing women. (Are they even women? Who knows? For all we know, it could be Chewbacca in that thing.)

That's why I was for the showing of the face for voting in Canada. I mean, how can we allow people who will not show their face to vote? It's absurd.

Disappointing to say the least.But with 5 million of them in the country, its as much as game over anyway

I wonder if you will carry that tune when Canadian Muslims make up
almost 10% of the population.

The ones who should really worry are the Natives, soon enough
they will be an ever dwindling minority, going down to even
lower levels of the population, and lost in the abyss.


As a good 101 man, you should appreciate this:

have a trip down to the old center of Bordeaux, just for fun.

No French on the commercial signs, only Arabic.
Don't even start with Marseilles, or other towns in the south that
now have police 'no go' areas.

Practising religion ? Perhaps, I'll simply remind you of the riots
over the previous years.

I'm sorry, but I fail to see the correlation between the riots and Islam. When there are Hockey riots in Montr�al, do we blame Catholicism? I don't think so.

Those riots were a result of economics, not the politics of religion.

As for 10% of Canadians being Muslims, well I can,t lie and say that I'm thrilled about the idea, but people have the right to peacefully and lawfully practise any religion they want.
