Some of the most powerful military figures on Earth � people with titles like supreme allied commander � are set to descend on Halifax this weekend.

There are a lot of big enormous challenges that face us. Meetings like this need to be encouraged.

We can't act like a bunch of isolated nation states because we aren't. We are bound to each other economically and if you looka at a picture of the earth from space we share the same atmosphere.

I wish them well in Hilifax.
