Good beginning, but more military assets from more nations will be required.

Sink the bastards, rather than arrest them and you'll see piracy taper off. You can't go to a street fight and expect to win if you're the only one playing by the Marquess of Queensberry rules.

Sink them and take every ship back by force. Launch raids on the villages that are holding hostages, kill anyone holding a gun and then get the hell out (with hostages if possible).

The pirates are doing it because they can make money, if the world refused to pay ransoms and kept using force pirating would most likely end.

Another solution is convoys. Convoys aren't as fast but they would keep the ships safe.

It's good to see that we're doing our part.

I just wish we had the ability to do more like this. However, without a replacement for our AORs, deployments like this will either happen less often or we will be even more dependent on allies to supply us.

We should have used part of our 'Action Plan' funds to get them started...another missed opportunity.

What I would like to see is a number of q-ships made.

A Q-ship is a freighter that has been modified with hiddens weaponry and these days missles.

Send they into the prime target and when these thungs speed out in their tiny boats the qiship could drop its sides and use some heavy bavy ordinance to send them to Davy Jones Locker and use a cheap cruise missle to take out the mother ship. The mothership don't have the advanced countermeasures to stop them.

WE have to make those pirates have a high degree of fear when they deecide to ply their trade.

Wasn't it a Russian or German cruise line that was offering shooting cruises? We just need more of that and less of these whiney bitches saying that the pirates are just defending their fishing rights.
    Open season on pirates.
