HAVANA, Cuba - Cuba's armed forces launched three days of intense military exercises across the island Thursday, a mobilization that state-controlled media says is designed to guard against an American invasion.

    If they want to run around relivind the days of the cold war that's fine. The only reason the usUS might do something in Cuba would be if they allowed al-Quada to operate out of there. Outside of that Americans want to drop this cold war nonesense and restore relations with Cuba.

    The sanactions, traeal bar and all that nonesence froma war that was over years ago.

    We have to do this slowly as Americans of Cuban Descent have long memories of the revolution and retart the process, but we will make up with Cuba in time.

    And it's not like it's a REAL trade embargo. The USA imports sugar from Canada. Where the fuck do they think we get it? Saskatchewan?

    Nope, Alberta could supply it tho. Sugar beets are a big industry here.

    I'm not talking about beet sugar. I'm talking about re-exported Cuban cane sugar.

    The leadership of Cuba needs to keep the people fearful of those foreign threats, lest they start asking too many questions.
