ALICE SPRINGS, Australia Australian authorities plan to corral about 6,000 wild camels with helicopters and gun them down after they overran a small Outback town in search of water, trampling fences, smashing tanks and contaminating supplies.

    This irks me.

They brought the camels over to a country that they never should have inhabited anyway (which likely offers no natural predators to keep the numbers in check), let their population get insanely out of control and now are going to slaughter ever so inhumanely.

I hope they learn something here and handle this FAR more responsibly from now on. This is just sickening.

I dont know why humans always think every conflict with nature has to be resolved with a massive killing spree. And for what, some minor property damage? Talk about a lack of imagination. How about being responsible for once instead of making animals pay for problems caused by human wrecklessness.
