I hope they have a nice time at their little get-together. Maybe we'll get a doggy-bag of caviar, but it's all about the planet, isn't it?

What we will get is a whole new whack of taxes to pay for all the limos....

The United Nations estimates that the Copenhagen Climate Change Conference will leave a 40,584 tons carbon footprint. This is equivalent to Morocco's footprint in 2006.

The conference will be attended by 16,500 delegates from 192 countries and 5000 journalists. 900 kilometers of cable and 50,000 square miles of cable. It is estimated that 200,000 meals will be served, along with 200,000 cups of coffee.

World leaders will arrive with 140 private jets, let.s not talk of media with its crews.

The highlighted article raises an important question, "Where is teleconferencing when you need it?"

That's the UN estimate, probably greatly underestimated.

Some of Glenn's facts need tweaking there, but they're still truthy. The satellite glitch in the reading of ice he's talking about was only out there for a short time. The skeptics caught it relatively quick, and they made the sea ice calculator guys change it. Those guys who got caught were really upset that people would mention it. Apparently the correct way to deal with something like that is you're supposed to just ignore it, and eventually the powers that be will figure it out, and correct it.

There was a similar one where Hansen of GISS got caught replicating the temperatures of two separate months. Apparently the real crime there was skeptics weren't supposed to notice, and should have just shut up. This according to GISS mouthpiece Gavin Schmidt.

It isn't a ten year cooling trend. The cooling only goes back to the end of 2001 which is 8 years. However...there has been no warming for at least 11 years, and no statistically significant warming for the last 15.

I can forgive him though. In the average two minute sound-bite from Gore you'll hear more, and worse factual mistakes than those.

But we're having a Climate Crisis! Facts have no place in the discussion when we're trying to SAVE THE WORLD!
