I have mixed feelings about this. Having done some street nursing. Will this change anything? He can go home. Most on the street can't. Perhaps he should build a few shelters instead.

Having been down to sleeping in the car, and being happy about having that,
William won't learn about the desperation, confusion and depression that can come with sleeping rough.
You're right, he gets up and goes home.. but it is something that he tried it.
Maybe it'll turn into a pet project for him, wouldn't be the worst thing.
