Optically a laser pointer will destroy a retina. If some arsehole starts using one of those thing in rink it should be treated like somebody holding a gun.
Why would you fuck around with that? I have a super high powered laser pointer than I only point at walls or at the ground when it's a non reflective surface.
"Strutz" said Not much of a Canuck's fan if they think the team needs help from a dangerous object like that in order to win games. How stupid and childish.
Surely other fans sitting near this person must have noticed it and known who was doing it. If so then why didn't they rat them out to security?
They probably thought it was funny, juvenile tactics such as these, especially during a heated game and a big rivalry tend to be over looked by the masses.
What they should have done is announced to the crowd that whomever turns in the person with the laser pointer gets free tix to the next home game, either that or have the Canucs forfeit the game unless the person with the laser pointer turns it into security, and make sure they annouce that as well.
Fact is that if it was visable to people watching on tv it should not have been too difficult to spot by those searching, just watch the monitors until found, or have 1 camera panning the crowd constantly until it's located.
Seems that Kippers OK despite, I'd like to think that whoever did this wasn't stupid enough to flash nit right in his face.
stop the game and empty the damn rink.
No excuse for that horseshit.
