Record snowfall in southern Yukon has created chaos on the territory's roads, to the point where RCMP are asking motorists in Whitehorse to stay off the roads over the next 24 hours if they can.
I pick up a flat or two of Yukon Gold every time I'm in Whitehorse.
The weather in Whitehorse tends to be about the same as Edmonton, except they can get the mild air coming from the gulf that we only get from Hawaii. Snow squalls similar to 'lake effect' snow because of the air rising and falling over the mountains.

Do you? That's awesome. Do you go to Giorgio's? LOVED that restaurant!
I need to get another Ulu knife. They had some really good ones at one of the shops downtown there, but I can't remember the name of it. They're easy enough to find, but I liked the size of the ones they had. I should poke around while I'm thinking of it.
I got an ulu from Alaska. Razor sharp! Great for slicing sausage.
I've got a lot of pics from around the Yukon. Dredge #4, The Dome, All around Dawson, etc. Not digital but might scan ok. Sitting here looking at the gold pans I used on Bonanza Creek, just a few miles out of Googieville.
When I was a kid, I read in a book, " You ain't a man till you pissed in the Yukon River". So natch... (pics of that too!)

Fresh fish on their charbroiler I've been there a couple times. I usually only have time for food at the hotel. When I went there is was for usually on business, so fly in fly out fast. But I loved going. Klondike Rib and Salmon is good too.
The branch office was right across the street from the Yukon Brewery, so that was handy.
Don't know the name of the shops, but I'd love an ulu knife too!
I don't know about the golf, but one day I AM going to find out just how good the fishing is.

The first place to knock the wind outta me:
Teslin Lake.
This is actually the first "glimpse" you get as you crest a little hill and come around the corner.
86 miles of paradise.

I find this thread to be quite interesting myself, if you don't have anything constructive to say, why don't you just STFU!
