Of course it will. School shouldnt supply shit like that, and at least they have to walk down the street. The ones that are too freaking lazy won't do that.

Eh. No it won't. My old high school in Whitby, Ontario, had fast food restaurants, convenience stores, among other places barely a few feet away. People might be lazy, but high school students will have the motivation to leave the school to eat if the cafeteria doesn't serve what they want.
"raydan" said I have an idea. No junk foods less than 5 kilometers from any school.
There used to come a junkfood truck to my school. It was told to fuck off. There was nothing else around, and we didnt go look for it either. The cafetaria sold the more healthy stuff, coffee and soup.
"Brenda" said Which is their prerogative. Doesnt mean the school should become another McDuck.
Meh, people should have the choice on what they eat. If the school wants to lose out on money, more power to them. Give local businesses more money from the stupidity of the various school districts and the provincial government
It's better than doing nothing, but still won't stop kids from eating junk food. Still, if the kids have to walk a block or two to get it, maybe it'll do them some good.
I went to high school BEFORE they put vending machines into schools.
There was an independent convenience store on the corner, a Macs down the street.
And my draconian mother made me brown-bag my lunch.
Man I was so deprived.
While getting the machines out is ok, it actually won't change much..

Or they brown-bagged it.
Pick up 5 Pomegranate Rockstars and head back to school.
I remember when they first came out with that flavour a few years ago, I thought to myself "Who would drink that shit?"
I prefer NOS myself.
