About 150 anti-Olympic protesters held a final, spirited march through downtown Vancouver but their chants were often drowned out by hecklers watching the Canada-U.S.. Hockey game.

They should thank their lucky stars that Canada won. The fans were in a good mood, but had Canada lost those protestors would have presented an opportunity to work some frustrations out.

    Fuck yeah!

Shep, I don't even know what would have happened. But you're right. I don't think a bunch of punk ass wannabe Anarchist clowns would be tolerated by pissed off ticket holder nationalist Canadians.

It would have been very, very messy. The protesters would then have wished to be in jail instead.

I havn't seen any protestors since the 2nd day of the Olympics, and I'm out ever day. This group came by the bar we were at, they were easily drowned out.

"he hockey fans sang O Canada and hollered at protesters to "get a job.""
    hahaha

I'm surprised they weren't pelted with bar food or anything.

I'm still surprised this thread title doesn't read: "Hockey fans BEAT down Olympic protestors."

So far two types of protestors have been receiving much of the media attention. You have the criminals who smash store front windows, spary paint people's cars and vandalize potential homes. And you have the anti-Canadian, those who deface the Canadian flag and still try to claim they are Canadian or at least they are ashamed to be one. How about we give them all a ticket to China in hopes they realize how lucky they are to be Canadian.
