    Welcome to Arizona.

First we will arrest anyone brown, with no ID. (AKA Mexican Looking)

Second we will we will arrest anyone with a big nose and to much money... (AKA Jews)

The Arizona law simply codifies at the state level an Federal law.

What's caused this, and what is also at the root of a recent law in Arizona that repeals restrictions on the right to carry, is that Arizona is being hit particularly hard by gang violence and the gangs in question, such as MS-13, are composed primarily of illegal immigrants.

Now, if the folks from so-called 'sanctuary' cities and states are serious about their antipathy towards Arizona's law they'd roll out the red carpet and welcome Arizona's estimated 600,000 to 1.1 million illegal immigrants into states. So far, no such invites have been offered.

They already have. But the illegals are going to go where the US citizens employ them, plain and simple. If Arizona residents were serious about not wanting illegals in their state, they would just not give them jobs. Problem solved.

The Arizona law is nothing but legal racial profiling.

Adds a new term to; "What Can Brown Do For You?"

uhg, get your ass arrested and tossed into jail.

Personally, it has made every person driving a vehicle with Arizona tags a target if you asked me.

    getting a touch dramatic there.

If I understand right, all legal immigrants should be given a green card.

That card should be carried at all times.

That card should be presented as proof of ID.

If you are legal, you have a green card.. end of problem.

If you are illegal, well holy shit you are breaking the law,
oh but I guess you cant be punished for that.

Am I wrong, or is not presenting ID to the police some type of constitutional right ?

NO!! Currently, if you are driving, or taking a bus, train... whatever and are stopped and they are you what is your status, you can reply; "U.S. Citizen"

    They question no more.

After the law... you have to prove your status. Regarless if you are born in the USA or not.

...and living in Europe, you of all people should realize what this law is.

Arizona drivers license is not proof of citizenship.

Trit, everyone living legally in Europe has a National ID card.

    Even I have one.

Yup, so when you dont have one, you are in shit.

Right, so when the catch an illegal immigrant, they can actually do something now.

Sorry, I'm not seeing the problem here.

Please tell me which one are you going to ask for ID. (remember any "reasonable" suspicion that he is illegal)

Then tell me which one of the two is illegal.

You're wrong - there is no requirement to have ID for US citizens. There are lots of Hispanic citizens - how will police establish their status w/o arresting them and keeping them in jail while they check that out? First time they do it, there's your civil rights court case.

As I say, if the US was serious about not having illegals in the country, it wouldn't give them all jobs. That includes all the illegal immigration hard asses - bet they also profit plenty by having various peons work for shit wages. The people who suffer are the working class US citizens.

The solution to this is the same as the drug problem. You'll always have plenty of supply as long as the demand is there. The US should be working on the demand side for both problems.
