Andyt, it's still an insult in the sense that you tell a Black Man to "Go back to Kenya" even though he was born in North America.
Even if he was born in Kenya - it's an insult to tell him to go back home if he's a legal immigrant. Taking green cards to mean that tho, doesn't make sense to me. Again, if the Omaha students have green cards, the reply should be - "yeah, it got one, so what." If they don't, then too bad, so sad, they shouldn't be there to feel insulted in first place. The problem with the US is that legal and illegal immigration have become conflated, where there pc crowd sees both groups as equally legitimate.
I understand the "they should have thicker skin" thing, but that means we should let these people be so openly racist that they storm a football field to harass legal people?

This is much ado about nothing. Why is it racist for these kids to make a statement about illegal immigration.
Hell for all we know half the Omaha South team could have been illegals which would make them ineligible to play. So if that's the case then maybe Omaha South got what it deserved by playing ineligible players.
My guess would be that there were kids playing for Omaha who were illegal and the students at Lincoln knew it and reacted.
This whole issue might not be so much about illegal immigration as having a level playing field, despite what the bleeding heart leftists would have you believe.
It would be insulting to automatically assume they were illegal unless you can prove that the Omaha South team had no illegals on the field during the game.
My guess would be that there were kids playing for Omaha who were illegal and the students at Lincoln knew it and reacted.
