A group of Lincoln East High School students are in trouble for what some are calling a 'racist' celebration following the school's state soccer title Tuesday night.
If the Omaha students are legal residents, it's not really an insult, is it? If they're illegal, they shouldn't be there in the first place. I get what the intention of the Lincoln students was, but the Omaha students need to grow a thicker skin.
Hell in a hand basket! How do these thoughts manifest themselves in these people like this? No Logic, common sense, or fucking integrity?
Andyt, it's still an insult in the sense that you tell a Black Man to "Go back to Kenya" even though he was born in North America.
Even if he was born in Kenya - it's an insult to tell him to go back home if he's a legal immigrant. Taking green cards to mean that tho, doesn't make sense to me. Again, if the Omaha students have green cards, the reply should be - "yeah, it got one, so what." If they don't, then too bad, so sad, they shouldn't be there to feel insulted in first place. The problem with the US is that legal and illegal immigration have become conflated, where there pc crowd sees both groups as equally legitimate.
"Mr_Canada" said I understand the "they should have thicker skin" thing, but that means we should let these people be so openly racist that they storm a football field to harass legal people?
Stench of KKK members walking around town in full-dress, no?
Boo Hoo, I'm in your country illegally sucking up benefits and you have the gall to insult me.
Just wait, I'm gonna get Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins after you.
What a joke.
This is much ado about nothing. Why is it racist for these kids to make a statement about illegal immigration.
Hell for all we know half the Omaha South team could have been illegals which would make them ineligible to play. So if that's the case then maybe Omaha South got what it deserved by playing ineligible players.
It would be insulting to automatically assume they were illegal unless you can prove that the Omaha South team had no illegals on the field during the game.
My guess would be that there were kids playing for Omaha who were illegal and the students at Lincoln knew it and reacted.
As the group stormed the field, dozens of "green" index cards were thrown into the air, an apparent racial slight to the immigration status of Omaha South players.
This whole issue might not be so much about illegal immigration as having a level playing field, despite what the bleeding heart leftists would have you believe.

The students that threw the green cards will be suspended and have to write apologies? That's a tad harsh if you ask me. If they were all yelling racial slurs or wearing white hoods I can see it, but not for throwing green cards. Tell the Hispanic student base to calm the hell down already.
USA is now showing it's true colors...
Hooooooooly craaaaaaap.

No, not how I read it.
