Tensions rise in Korea as Obama promises military support

Very convienant this happened to happen as Japan was going to close down the U.S. base and this incident changed there minds. Very, very convient. /end conspiracy theory.

The Pentagon is going to put on a joint US-S.Korean naval exercise meant to demonstrate....something...to North Korea.

I think the demonstration will only be effective is we do something
rather blunt. If we just put on an airshow or a boat show that won't
do a damn thing. Somebody other than the South Korean sailor will have
to bleed or The fat pygmy will laugh at us.

Wee! We're going to war. Again. I really hope we trained the Afghan army well enough by now.

This won't be like the Afghan war. It's clear who the enemy is in NK. Once Kim and his cronies are gone, the biggest battle will be over. There is already a wealthy, stable, democratic and powerful Korean government existing in the south. The liberators won't have to pick the lesser evils from a bad lot to try and work with. This will be more like East Germany reunifying with West Germany, with a touch of Romania.

The S.Korean's and US soldiers stationed there, would be wiped off the map if they went to war with N. korea. That's why nothing has ever happened since the Korean war and in the last 10- 20 years!
