Come to Canada, get involved in prostitution and maybe arson, sue the police, get Citizenship then move back your homeland? What a complete fail of a human being, another great call on the part of immigration, who should have sent him home on the prostitution related charges (if he was charged) in the first place!

He's an exemplar of the new immigrant. Just doing what come naturally. What's really disgusting is that many Canadians will be sympathetic with him.

We get a lot of that BS in The States too. It does get sickening after a
while.

Where's 'trivial' to denounce those racist Canadians the same way he denounces everyone else?

Or throw him in prison for the forseeable future. Another failure of a person trying to turn it around into a bleeding heart case. No sympathy here. NEXT!

He got lucky once. The Crown should continue the investigation, resurect the charges and put this asshole in jail where he belongs.

It would be my guess that he started screaming racism as soon as the Winnipeg Police Services started the investigation and the Crown likely figured it wasn't worth the effort to proceed with the arson charge.

This was touched on in another thread about a PR who did a shooting after years of other arrests. Yes, as I recall from my time at CIC part of their ability to stay here as guests (Permanent Residents) is they cannot get charged with crimes or face the possibility of deportment. Where is gets hard is lack of will politically, lack of resources to hunt them all down, and infinite appeals which would often end up the deportation being over turned on humanitarian and compassionate grounds.

In short some pencil neck has done a cost benefit calculation and decided its cheaper for CIC / CBSA to let them stay. I wonder though how one calculates the degradation of society by letting too many criminals stay. We are stuck with our enough citizen convicts as it is.

Even those with criminal records get accepted for a number of stupid reasons. Its very frustrating doing Migration Integrity at CIC / CBSA as you're refusals are often overturned and criminal records either ignored as "no big deal" or if the dope is conveniently married to a citizen, well we can't keep him from his or her spouse due to simple assault charges of mere "Suspicion" of criminal activity or terrorist ties.

His claim is that if he were white he would have gotten away with his crimes?

Conviction of a criminal offence should mean deportation of the convicted once their sentence has been completed. If they want to appeal they can appeal the conviction, but if the conviction sticks deportation should be automatic.

To be fair to Immigration: Ie he was never convicted, so he got his citizenship. It sounds like it's the prosecutors who dropped the ball on this one - they were so afraid they'd be accused of profiling they dropped the charges as long as he signed that paper. But, since he signed that the charges were not racially motivated, they should ram that document down his throat and tell him to get the fuck out of the courtroom now. (ie drop the lawsuit if that wasn't clear.)
