"Believers showed brain activity that was indicative of being less emotional, showing less distress to their own errors," Dr. Inzlicht told CTV.ca
Or, in other words, "meh, who cares"... Or, in other other words, "God will forgive me for making this mistake anyway"
"I don't think this has to do with religion at all. It has to do with having beliefs that structure, organize and navigate your world. Giving you instructions about what to do, when to do it and how to do it."
So this study, or at least it's conclusion, is total bullshit
Meaningful discussion is impossible with post that insult and belittle. No discussion here just silly jackjaw gibberish. When the words God or Jesus are present the insults, foolish and childish noise begins again. A few are here to stir the pot. Nothing more. As becomes more obivious with each of their post.

What does it matter how one calls it? To each their own.
If a (constitutionally correct) same sex marriage, or any marriage outside the church shouldn't be called "marriage", according to some, what do you care how "some" call religion?

Swift move, hypocrite.
Getting back to the topic - if "thinking about God" reduces stress, then who am i to condemn? People's personal beliefs, if positive, help them, emotionally, psychologically or physically, then fine. It's when it goes beyond the individual and becomes a message...or worse, a crusade, that i have reservations.
What do you care what makes people feel better? If someone smokes pot to get through the day will you condemn them for that?
Nope, Pot is Real. I see. So you are ok with things that make people happy as long as they are tangible?
Sorta. Tangible is far better than not tangible. People can believe whatever they want, until they decide that I have to believe it too. Then there's gonna be a problem.

That goes without saying. I've never been a fan of religious people that push themselves and their beliefs on others. However I have absolutely no problem with people believing in a higher power regardless of who or what it is.
