Reusable bags not as green as we think

Our kitchen cupboards used to be filled with those cheap plastic bags, but these days many of us are overloaded with reusable shopping bags. However, they might not be as green as we think.

    I think the main point is that they work for 50 cents/hour.

    The why is that the paint used to decorate the bag contains lead.

    Why the "why... I have no idea except that probably it's cheaper to make lead paint than unleaded.

    Lead apparently enhances colors in inks and etc. so the Chinese use it especially in children's toys to make colors brighter.

    My guess is that since the toys are not for their kids then why should they care?

    Oh, and this year makes year eight of my personal boycott of Wal Mart.
