This world was a better place because of Major Winters, and other men just like him.
Now, the world is somewhat diminished by his loss. To me, Major Winters encapsulated what a military officer be.
May he rest in easy peace.

RIP, Major Winters. If even his portrayal in BoB was only half-true he was still one hell of a good guy.

My favourite show. He came across as a true leader when they interviewed him. Not many guys like him about.

I am very fortunate in that I never had to fight in a war. A lot of brave people including members of my family fought those wars for me. I am eternally grateful to all of them. RIP Major Winters you have earned it many times over.

Indeed. From what I've read the account in BoB left out many of his exploits that were near to superhuman and unbelievable. He was a man amongst men and a world will need to pass before such as him are to be seen again.
