Canuck Alex Edler tears disc in back and is out indefinitely

VANCOUVER - Canucks defenseman Alex Edler will have back surgery Monday and the team is not sure when he will return. Canucks General Manager Mike Gillis says that tests show Edler has a tear in one of his discs and it is an injury that will not repair it
