There are lots like him. In Vancouver we had a cop jump in the river to save a homeless guy, nearly drowning himself.
These stories do get media attention. The thing is it's brief, because there's no investigation needed, no outrage and no cover ups by his bosses. Just a good story that lasts a day. When a cop kicks somebody in the head, it lasts a long time as elements of the story come out, and, let's hope, one day we read he's been convicted and sentenced to jail time and fired.
andyt said it, the good that police do every day doesn't make the news, because lets face it, people love to hate cops and stories about bad cops will get 100 more readers than the good that the police do.
that's a damn good job brother, here's to a speedy recovery and some metal for that chest
Commendable actions!
