I suppose my biggest surprise is that they came up with this during winter vacation season.................September to May.

When we do it, the crying can be heard from Quebec. When Quebec does it....the reaction above says it all.

Evidently not. Rights, even with regards to language, goes both ways. It isn't always and SHOULDN'T always be about French protectionism.

Made my day, sorry nothing against you. Just noticed you were a separatist. All those years of Quebec complaining about the french language rights and finally a day where Canada takes a step to protest English language rights. It's simply perfect.

Why do I get the feeling that the English speaking population in Quebec aren't considered a minority but rather an irritation?

Whatever gave you that idea? Just because Quebec separatists are trying to make conditions so hard for all non-francophones (including natives) that they decide to leave doesn't mean they don't hate them .....

When I was there I called myself Qu�becois one time while speaking french with some acquaintances and got a few chuckles. Learned my lesson never did it again.

At first I thought this report was some sort hackery job forcing the Conservatives in a damned if you do or damned if you don't situation. But the committee was tabled by a Liberal and Conservative.

Too bad they're are only 40 years late I'm going to tell them what Qu�becers are going to tell them they can go pound dirt. Because they're too fucking afraid to do anything anyways. And no matter what gets passed it'll get shot down in the the soon to be mandatory bilingaul Supreme Court.

More likely it'll get "notwithstanding-ed". (Btw, just made up that word, think it'll catch on?)
