The NHL team released its logo and colours at 4 p.m. Friday. The main logo features a fighter jet on a white background in the middle of a navy blue circle with silver trim. A Canadian flag is behind the jet.
"We felt it was important to authenticate the name Jets, and we believe the new logo does that through its connection to our country's remarkable Air Force heritage, including the rich history and relationship that our city and province have enjoyed with the Canadian Forces."
The Department of National Defence assisted in the process.
It's alright but nothing great. It's going to depend on their jersey design but I can't help but think that it will look really plain and boring with just a circle logo.
"dino_bobba_renno" said Ohh, I like the two on the right. The one on the left is a little too close to a CF logo for my taste but two thumbs up on the others.
Same argument can be mad for the Sabres. Frankly, why not. Looks good and maybe people will realise they got a CF.
I dont mind a military theme, but the roundel logo on the left has too much Air Force and not enough hockey. If you saw that somewhere, you'd have no idea you were looking at a sports team logo.
Fuckin-A to the new logo. I can't tell you how much I'm looking forward to Winnipeg renewing their ancient and wonderful hate-war that they used to have going against Calgary. Some of those games were easily as good back in the day as the Flames/Oilers games usually were. That entire old Smythe Division actually kind of totally owned when you get down to it.

The main logo is okay, but I won't be running out to buy a sweater with that logo on it.

Otherwise, neat concept. Not bad overall.
Looks like they went with an F-16/F-18 hybrid. Kinda dissapointed. Would have rather seen an F-18 outright, or the Arrow.

The Arrow is a good idea.
