Canadaï¿½s military is planning to purchase thousands of new trucks in a deal estimated to be worth more than $750 million, even as an earlier announced truck program has fallen years behind schedule.

Yes!!! They're getting rid of the LSVW! Has hell frozen over or what? O.o even if we get another lemon, it won't be as deplorable as that piece of shit.

As for the differing requirements, the HL can have a GVWR of up to 30 tonnes, and is basically the size of a dump truck, whereas the LSVW tops out at 8 tonnes and is smaller than your average pickup. Hopefully what they're doing is trying to have commonality between the two vehicle fleets so we don't end up with 13 different sizes for wheel lugs again...

Hey that LSVW brake squeal is meant to strike fear into the hearts of our enemies!

But as far as lug nuts, there will still be this new vehicle fleet, plus:

AHSVS
MSVS
G-wagon
LAV fleet (more than one size for Bison/Coyote/LAV III?)
Cougar
Buffalo
RG-31

so im guessing there will still be a varied inventory for some time.
