Just think what the US would look like today if they had spent the three tillion they spent exploiting the middle east killing civilians etc sacrificing their best troops, Think -- if they had spent it on infrastructure - the jobs it would have created. Iran doesn't have to build A- bombs they could buy them off Pakistan -- so what if they have one? Israel has hundreds a russian stanoff no less Aye. Try to make friends , blowing up or bulldozing a home killing the family creates another suicide bomber yes? lets hope Obama ignores the Neocons banks and CNN mind washers.

No, it is more like telling the US that if they continue down this path Iran will retaliate in any way that it can. The US and Israel have done everything short of just outright declaring war and Iran just wants to be left alone. When you back an animal into the corner at it bites you don't blame the animal because you were too stupid to listen to all the warning signs it gave you.

My feeling about Iran having "the bomb" is the same as giving a five year old kid a machine gun. Neither has the maturity to understand what they have and nothing but bad will come from it.

In this case the animal is rabid, and a danger to those around it.

Peaceful countries don't stone women, have terrible human rights records, or commit/aid/abet terrorism of any kind, nor do they yell 'Jihad!' at every opportunity. Canada is peaceful. Denmark is peaceful. Iran is not.

This I agree with to a certain extent. Always bothering the rest of world and tring to get us to do their dirty work while not pursuing proper diplomacy is a little absurd. They claim everyone is out to get them and want sympathy, all while suppressing the Palestinians. Double standard methinks.

In all fairness, I don't think there will ever be proper peace in the Middle East, because they are all a bunch of hotheads who hate each other too much to see any kind of common ground in which to begin any kind of peace talks.

Difficult situation. We want to support Israel as the only outpost of civilization in the region, but they keep acting like shitiots. There's a good chance they're going to drag the US into another war, and of course we'll go right along for the ride. I don't think this will turn out well.

Andy I think you hit the nail on the head. Israel is the only democratic country in the region and we do like to support them, but they do act like bully boy assholes out there.

If they do start something out there the US will be dragged into something. WW I was started over less, but the political entanglements turned an assassination into The Great War.

I'm concerned that if Israel does attack Iran that this could well turn into quite a mess and I agree with you that this will not turn out well for anybody involved.

The only good thing about this is perhaps President Obama will get his head out his ass and get that pipeline going again.

What ever environment safeguards we need to put in place we can do and while the Hollywood crowd might say in their PC stupor when we have the opportunity yo get a significant amount of oil from a nation like Canada rather than having to deal with the some of the unpleasant folks over there we need to do it.
