From parasites to crabs and living slime affectionately dubbed "rock snot," invasive species can wreak havoc when introduced into a new habitat.

    English ivy, Scotch Broom, and Daphne are three of the worst on the coast.

    On a more serious note isn't there a way of genetically modifying ( for lack of a better word) to keep the Carp from reproducing? I seem to remember somewhere that that was done with the lamprey eel that worked to great success without any environmental impact. I wondering if the same count be done with invasive plants as well.
