Dutch researchers have developed the EWICON, ... that produces electricity by pushing charged water droplets into ..., a bladeless wind turbine with no moving parts that produces electricity using charged water droplets.

    Interesting. Of course no where in the article or in the Youtube video does it state exactly how much energy is produced by the device. A rather important piece of information to leave out.

    EWICON feasibility study (click 'A_Winters_EWICON.pdf (17.7 MB)' to download)

    Section 6 (pgs 53-60 in the pdf) is the complete EWICON system study.

    Based on current tests, it nets around 1w/sq metre (page 60).

    Fascinating... and indicative of just how creative energy research is. One of these days a small development like this might lead to a major breakthrough.
