Frederik Gauthier's second-period goal stood as the winner as Canada won the world under-18 men's hockey championship on Sunday with a 3-2 victory over the United States.

Rock Canadian kids! You go guys! First in five and against a team that had been together all year. Connor McDavid is a phenom.

Apparently, the Russian crowd was with us all the way - some of them even decked out in Canadian flags and cheering every move. Desrosiers was outstanding. Just with that TSN would do a better job of advertising the games - all they had on the menu was "Hockey" - that sure tells us a lot. Hmmph!
