Egypt's army gives rival parties 48 hours to resolve the country's political crisis after massive rallies demanding Islamist President Mohammed Morsi leave power.
"BartSimpson" said Anybody want to take bets how this might unfold? Looks like the Muslim Brotherhood is on borrowed time.
The military might come in to support them, too. I guess we'll see.
I'm thinking 70% chance the military takes power, 30% chance they suppress the protestors.
I don't think the military is all too happy with the Brotherhood, they might be a bit more pissed if it cost them some weapon system deliveries from the US, but even then.

Would be the best thing that could happen to keep total chaos from breaking out. Not another Mubarak kleptocracy, but a military council ruling things for a few years (and quietly wiping out the MB behind the scene at the same time) certainly wouldn't be the worse thing that could happen.
Although it's disgusting, 46 reported cases (I'll quadruple that to 200 or so cases in total, reported and unreported) in a crowd of what? A million or more? We're not exactly talking about Syrian rebels (as of yet)

Agreed. Perhaps another revolution?
