Canada Post is phasing out door-to-door delivery of regular mail to city dwellers and increasing the cost of stamps.

    buck a letter, no mail to the door.

    As long as they keep parcle delivery to the door, I'm sure everyone will adjust.

    sounds like you`ll have to go to a depot or closest post office for parcel pick up

    About time....

    Community mailboxes work just fine. Door-to-door just doesn't make financial sense any longer.

    No big deal. It just means the mail will be delivered to an MBU on your street but not to your door. This makes sense in the terms of trying to keep the service solvent. The USPS down here started doing this 20+ years ago.

    Before the Detroit pension crisis I thought it was unfair that Congress wanted the USPS to fully fund their pensions (and that's what's causing their $$ problems). Now it just makes good sense.

    we don`t even have a mail box at the post office. All the mail for the teachers gets picked up, sent to the school and gets put into your slots there......guess it`d be awkward ordering porn or sex toys :twisted:

    We had mail box delivery till we moved to our new house 4 years ago, where it has a MBU. The nice thing about it for me is that it is right across the street from my house and it has a mail box for outgoing mail too. So when Canada Post puts advertising in my box, I simple put it right back in theirs without even taking a step.

    The USN deliver's our mail and the yeomen sorts it to slots. Yep it is hard to get porn lol, I know the feeling :twisted: :lol:
