    But at least Swiss cars don't burst into flames every summer.

    Taxes are even higher, unless you are race car driver.
    Since racing is illegal, you can get unemployment. :)

    Most of the Frenchies will in fact go to the UK, they can hide it easier there.

    Or Russia. ;)

    There are no those who put them in fire. Dut if someone will have a desire to put someone's car in fire he will find it even in the forest of Yukon.

    Yep, look for the French economy to go in the shitter next year as capital flees to other countries like the UK, Ireland, and etc.

    Only 1067 vehicles burnt, day before yesterday! Not even a record!

    That's assuming they all can get similar high-paying jobs there - this only taxes income;

    his plan to tax salaries above 1 million euros at 75 percent for this year and next.

    It doesn't say anything about investment income. That is the reason so many wealthy Americans pay less income tax than some of their employees (Warren Buffet being a notable example of this).

    Still, I could see some people moving elsewhere and earning less, because with a lower tax hit, income might still be similar or even higher. Even with that, finding those types of jobs aren't all that easy, so I doubt many will be able to do so in the short term.

    Pretty much the entire French entertainment industry will move out of the country. If I were Canada I'd be looking to lure all of those nice people (and their fat paychecks) to Quebeck. 8)

    Getting around that is so easy it's not even funny.

    That's why I don't see this as a big deal - just smoke & mirrors to placate Hollande's supporters.
