Back on the boat and deport. Would be ironic if said boat was taken over by Somali pirates on the way back to their homeland.

Sources confirmed to the Ottawa Sun on Friday that Ismail Barkhadle, 23, is suspected of having ties to terrorist activities.

Barkhadle is suspected to know Hiva Mohammad Alizadeh, who is accused of being part of a homegrown terror cell in Ottawa.

Investigators with Project Samossa alleged at the time of Alizadeh's 2010 arrest, alongside several others, that they'd been involved in a plot to build and detonate bombs in Canada.

They are also accused of helping raise money to fund Taliban insurgents in Afghanistan.

A top RCMP officer said at the time the men posed a "real and serious threat" to Ottawans and national security, and their arrests prevented bombs from being built and attacks carried out.

Barkhadle's name also surfaces in a WikiLeaks document suggesting he is an associate of Alizadeh, who is "strongly suspected of being an Islamic extremist who is plotting terrorist attacks in Canada."

The other high-profile arrest is that of Abdulaziz Al-Enzi, a well known criminal, recently got out of jail.

The 26-year-old is the half-brother of convicted murderer Nawaf Al-Enzi, who got life in the prison for the execution-style shooting death in 2006 of a drug dealer.

Abdulaziz Al-Enzi is no stranger to police and the justice system.

In 2009, he attacked an off-duty cop and threatened to kill the man's fiancee.

He was an attempted murder suspect in 2012 and he was featured as one of the Top 5 Most Wanted by the guns and gangs unit.

That charge related to a swarming attack of a young man who was stabbed several times. He recently got out of jail.

What the hell were they arrested for? I thought we were supposed to be tolerant of other religious beliefs/cultural mores, even when they run counter to Canadian values.

Deport them, and torpedo the boat we deported them on when they reach international waters.

On that note you got to love the name of the operation, not 'inappropriate' at all, Project Samosa.

If I called those guys at work the Samosa crowd I'd get my knuckles rapped by management but if you're running a police op you're good to go!

As far as the torpedoes go I have thought of this but then remembered, our subs can't fire them yet....

There is more to this particular story, I think. These guys seem to be connected to both basic gang criminality, and Islamic radicalism. So which is the priority? Is the one supporting the other?

It would be nice if the press would give us a hint there. Also, and it may be too much to ask for a basic point from Canadian media, but what's their immigration status?

    It wouldn't matter.

Somalia being a third word shithole, they will never be deported, the lawyers will see to that.

In Sweden, one Somali shitbag actually stole the Swedish crown jewels, and managed to lose
one of the major jewels in the river.

He was found, forgiven, and still there.

The West will drown in this idiocy.

You give the media too much credit to put those two operations (the criminal and the terrorist) together.

I think eventually we will correct the rampant PC-ish-ness that runs amok today, so long as these poor people that we rescued from whatever war zone behaves badly in the west. I just hope we haven't drowned by then.
