The Canadian government is fuming over a U.S. agriculture bill and warning of trade retaliation, in the latest twist in a lengthy dispute that just days ago showed signs of resolution.

About all that the government will do is fume and everyone knows it. This seems to happen every few years, just with a different export of ours. The US pushes and our government sputters and squawks but eventually caves. This isn't a partisan issue either, both the Libs and Cons are equally good at it.

The WTO has already ruled against the US on country of origin labelling though. We could impose tariffs immediately if we wanted.

But you are right, "Canada's Government" won't allow it.

We've won WTO rulings before and the US didn't give a shit and we can't afford to retaliate.

Shut off the oil and luminaries like Ann Coulter will be demanding overnight that Canada be moved ahead of Iran and NK on the hit list.
