You're literally right. Had these people had access to guns then all logic indicates they'd have used them because they were determined to kill. And in the absence of access to guns they found a means to kill anyway.

I do believe this is is the product of our own making. Look at the decline in our social morals, values, self worth, human value.... It's bound to get worse.
But we humans are the superior beings! Intelligence above all others!!

No idea at all.Yeah, you are probably right this is the equivalent of our Virginia Tech or Columbine except instead of 32 and 12 dead we have 5 dead in Calgary and 4 injured in Toronto. Knives just aren't as efficient killers as guns. Thankfully.

And another two stabbed with one killed in Vancouver yesterday. So, I guess the inability to acquire legal fire arms isn't going to stop the hardcore crazies from killing people.

No, but it sure can stop the hardcore crazies from killing more people. In VAncouver, I believe it was a domestic dispute, so likely the same number of people would have been killed with knife or gun. But if the guy had a gun when the cops take him down, how much more deadly would that have been for the cops?
