The CEO of McDonald's Canada branded recent criticism of its use of temporary foreign workers 'bullshit' in a conference call to franchisees, according to a recording of the call given to the CBC.
"The CEO of McDonald's Canada has branded recent criticism of its use of temporary foreign workers "bullshit" in a conference call to franchisees that was given to the CBC."
lol what a friggen dick. One more reason to boycott McDs.
In a recording of the call given to the CBC, McDonald's Canada CEO John Betts discusses recent CBC stories on the company's use of temporary foreign workers and his resulting meeting with federal Employment Minister Jason Kenney.?
"This has been an attack on our brand. This has been an attack on our system. This is an attack on our people. Its bullshit OK! I used those words when I described my conversation with the minister last week. He gets it."
Betts says he was "incredibly impressed" with the minister, adding, "He really knows his stuff. And Ill say he knows his stuff from a business persons perspective."
I wonder what the underlined parts mean? Could if be that Kenney is just throwing up a smokescreen until things quiet down, then business as usual?
I'm listening to him gas on as I read this. You should start by putting a Canadian in charge of McDonalds Canada and send that foreigner Betts packing. He says that the outrage at bringing in foreigners to do their low wage service work "is an attack on THEIR system". Well, maybe McDonalds is attacking our system.
Anyway, I wouldn't eat in one of their cesspits if you put a gun to my head.

He's kissing ass. Not hard to figure out. I'm sure after Kenney heard this recording his ass is not kissable by McDs.
I dunno, the bit about the CBC distorting news and ignoring "ts responsibility to provide objective and balanced reporting to the public"y repeatedly omitting facts and pertinent information doesn't sound too far fetched.
So you're saying when I walk into the local Subway and it's 100% TFWs, or the KFC 20 miles away and it's 100% TFWs, or the Timmies beside it is 50% TFWs, it isn't newsworthy? Maybe the newsworthy item is that the CBC's the only media left that hasn't been so cut, defunded or compromised that they can still REPORT. The local rags here wouldn't dare report the issue. Those businesses account for too much advertising revenue. Sort of like how the local reporter never mentions the local grocery is selling frozen halibut for more than Alaska King crab because that store's full page ad is 1/8 of the whole newspaper....
Come on, Herbie. The CBC omitted facts and pertinent information. RHM will tell us what those are in her next post here. I mean we know the CBC is biased towards the Liberals, and RHM will also explain what that has to do with McD's.

CEO sounds like he's throwing a pity party.
He's throwing an "End of My Career" party.

I bet tomorrow he announces his "resignation"

Not that bad of an outcome for him really, I'm sure he'll leave with a severance package that will contain more money than I'll ever make in my life.
Fuck it. Last time I flew out of YVR I'd swear the whole security staff were TFWs.
Last time I flew into YVR I thought I was a TFW.
