It would appear that the joke that is the Iraqi government is shitting itself. This terrorist group is making the Iraqi army turn tail and run. Here's a nice infographic:

Fun fact: ISIS is so extreme even al-Qaeda wants nothing to do wtih them.

Unfortunately, the one man that could have effectively dealt with the religious extremists is dead

Obama's critics are saying had he been able to negotiate a deal with the Iraqi Government to keep US Forces this wouldn't have happened. That's hard to say as ISIS or some other Terrorist group would probably have waited out the American presense.

Iraq's neighbors are probably coming up with plans to stop the spread into their own borders with defensive options.

Looks like the great unravelling of the castle made of sand came a lot sooner than expected.

Proven by Assad in Syria, as brutal and evil as he is, managing to hold the line (and even winning) against these maniacs while Bush & Cheney's Iraq-version of the Founding Fathers are folding faster than a cheap shirt at a Chinese laundry, and probably can't recover unless backed up by immediate American intervention.

When the PM is begging civilians to take up arms, things are looking good.

Guess they aren't having much of a 2nd Amendment debate over there. :)

If he's evil, he's definitely the lesser of many that thrive in that part of the world

And the Kurds are also stepping in to take the place of the Iraqi army. Which in turn is making Turkey nervous..

Looks like the Iraqi army is trying to beat the record previously set by the South Vietnamese for getting out of their uniforms and running away. Clearly more trillions of well-spent American taxpayer dollars, eh, Forever Warriors?

Obama gave orders today to the Navy and Air Force to prepare to evacuate Americans from Baghdad - including our multi-billion dollar embassy. This was on KSTE 650am this morning.

The only positive that could come from this is it unites Iraq's neighbors to get together and decimate Isis before it's to late. This also brings up the question was the West backing the wrong side in the Syrian civil war?
