Ottawa shooting not terrorism, says Thomas Mulcair

Looks like The Beard is aiming hard for a 3rd place finish next election.

Give JT some time to catch up to the Beardo. He'll certainly say something equally stupid about the incident before too long.

Who cares what they call it? Some nut job killed someone and now he is dead too.

Uhh, it was a politically motivated attack on institutions of government.

Watching the news last night and they interviewed a NDP MP who's name I missed. He's already claiming Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

One could surmise that all radical Muslims are mentally ill.

That is probably more accurate than anything else.

They might be lucky to get third the way they are going.

No it wasn't. It was a nutjob who went off the rails. Mulcair may be wrong most of the time, but not in this case. Terrorism is a label that needs to be properly applied. In this case it hasn't been. This was a temper tantrum, not terrorism.

It was an act of terror from an ideological sect that specifically demands terror against the specific representative group attacked that day. Representatives of the sect of orthodoxy he chose to follow specifically demand terror to this day.

They follow the literal meaning of the book that says this...

Pretty much all terrorist attacks are temper tantrums. They know they can't advance their preferred policies via the democratic process, so they resort to attacks.

If you call this terrorism, you're setting the bar too low. The next time a drunk teenager pisses on a cop car that'll be a terrorist attack.

Does that drunk teen have political motivations and a desire to achieve them through violence?
