Nobody is holding a gun to these people's heads to become Canadian citizens but if they want to have the privilege of calling themselves one then follow the laws and take the oath as it is. Natural born citizens don't have a say in their citizenhip, this is true. All others do, it is enshrined in law that the oath is there is a country due south of us that fits that bill has very similar customs and traditions, probably should've moved there. As one that has actually taken this oath I can honestly say it's one of the proudest days of my life.
