The working group of New Democrats tasked with reviewing their party's performance in the 2015 election issues a report that criticizes the NDP campaign as "out of sync" with Canadians' desire to break from Stephen Harper's Conservative government.

I think Mulcair's done, time to go. The NDP has been outfoxed by Trudeau. They expected him to campaign left and govern right, but Justine obviously has a much better sense of the Canadian population. The NDP really have nowhere to go right now, as far as having a shot at government. Just go back to being the conscience of Canada, try to pull the Libs even further left. Or, you know, give up already and merge with the Libs. On Trudeau's terms. Or make Liz May the leader and go full on Green. NGP, NGP, NGP.

Just fold and make it into a two party system.

The alleged experts also said the Libs were dead after the Dippers became the official opposition in the last Tory win. Anyone who says any party is permanently dead because of one really bad loss isn't paying attention. The Dippers will never be the government and might never do as good again as they did under Jack Layton but that doesn't mean they're doomed to disappear either.

And nobody said that. But unless the Liberals start swinging right again, the NDP is pretty well farked. In fact they just seem doomed to always play the also ran, so maybe it's time to merge with the Libs. Or as I said, go green - there does seem to be a future there.
