Was she showing too much ankle ?

Another student said she always travels as part of a group, and if she is going anywhere alone she uses UBC Safewalk, a free service that will assign someone to accompany people who feel unsafe walking alone on campus.

That would be funny if ti wasn't sad.

Immigration Minister John McCallum told CTV News that while applicants for student visas can be subject to criminal record checks, they're not mandatory.

"It's up to the discretion of the immigration officer. If they want to ask for a police check with regard to a particular student, they have the right to do so," McCallum said.

Yup, we are that stupid.

Pretty soon all you'll have to do is prove you have a pulse to get in.

Hopefully none of the girl's blood got on the new Air Jordans the government gave him when he arrived at the airport.

I'm shocked that the student wasn't kicked out of school and charged for a hate crime against the peaceful international student.

The discussion in the college admissions department went something like this:

con - he's culturally and religiously primed to eventually flip out and attack another student

pro - his family really Really REALLY has a lot of money

And the yays have it once again.......

Friends told CTV that they were surprised by the charges laid against Almestadi, who they described as being polite.

"We talked and he was really nice, friendly," said student Josh Bian, who said he knew the suspect.

"We actually had a lot of conversations together. I didn't think there was anything really wrong with him."

Exactly. The problem with Muslims is you don't know what's going to set them off or when their religion is going to demand that they behead an infidel.

What's the point? You all have solved the case already despite nothing in the article saying this was some kind of religious attack. You all read the guy's name and stopped reading.

Well, his name sounds Muslim, so it must be a religiously motivated attack, unlike when non-Muslims attack women.
